Sponsor. Community Aces Challenge Two 2016 (the "Event") is sponsored by Isle of Capri Casinos, Inc. in collaboration with the Greater Saint Louis Community Foundation (collectively “Sponsor”). The decisions of Sponsor regarding the recommendation of awardees and all other aspects of the awards shall be final and binding in all respects.
Eligibility. Subject to the additional restrictions below, the Event is open to all 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations within 100 miles of, and that serve one or more of the thirteen communities where Isle of Capri Casinos, Inc. or one of its casinos is located. Funds cannot be used for any purpose other than the project submitted.
How to Enter a Project. To submit a project, complete an official entry form between January 4, 2016 and January 29, 2016. The official entry form is available online at:
Required information includes contact name, organization name, mailing address, daytime phone, email address, impact statement describing the project, number of people your project will serve, and the community your organization serves. Only one (1) entry per organization will be accepted. All entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. central time on January 29, 2016.
Internet Entry. Enter the Event by visiting the websites at www.communityaceschallenge.com or Facebook.com/isleofcapricasinos, completing all of the required fields and following all posted instructions. Only one entry per email address will be accepted. Your computer must accept cookies, or any successor or similar technology, which may be used for the purpose of entry tracking. Ad blocking software on your computer needs to be disabled so that it does not interfere with processing your entry. You will receive confirmation upon successful submission of your entry.
Finalists and Awards. The first project applications, up to one hundred and fifty (150), that meet the eligibility and entry submission requirements, as solely determined by Sponsor, (the “Finalists”) will be submitted for the voting process. Entrants will be limited to ten entries per community. Voting will occur on-line beginning at noon central time on March 8, 2016 and conclude at 11:59 p.m. central time on April 1, 2016. There will be one $25,000, one $15,000 grant, one $5,000 grant, and two $2,500 grants. Eligibility, final grants and award amounts will be determined by Sponsor. Funds cannot be used for any purpose other than the project submitted.
Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
Voting. Project descriptions of each Finalist will be posted on the Community Aces Challenge Facebook page where visitors may cast one vote per day per individual during the voting period of noon central time on March 8, 2016 through 11:59 p.m. central time April 1, 2016. Only one project per nonprofit organization is eligible to enter the voting period
Awardee Notification and Acceptance. Awardees will be notified the week of April 11, 2016 via telephone number or email address provided on the Awardee’s entry form. Sponsor will call during regular business hours and will leave no message. Failure to reach the Awardee by phone after three (3) attempts, failure of the Awardee to respond to the email notification, or return of email notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification of the Awardee, forfeiture of his or her interest in all Awards, and selection of a substitute Awardee from among all remaining eligible entries. Awardees may waive their right to receive Awards. Awards are non-assignable and nontransferable. No substitutions allowed by Awardee. Awardees will be required to complete an affidavit of eligibility/liability and publicity release (except where prohibited by law) which must be returned as directed. Failure to sign and return the affidavit or release, or to comply with any term or conditions of these Official Rules, may result in an Awardee’s disqualification, the forfeiture of his or her interest in the Award, and the Award may be given to a substitute Awardee. Except where prohibited, acceptance of any Award constitutes Awardee’s consent to the publication of his or her name, organizational information, and likeness in any media for any commercial or promotional purpose, including without limitation in print, television, and social media. No compensation shall be provided for such consent. Each Awardee will be required to enter into a grant agreement with the Greater Saint Louis Community Foundation before receiving the grant from the Isle of Capri Community Aces Fund.
Participation. By participating in the Community Aces Challenge Two 2016, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor. Winners of previously held Community Aces Challenge contests are not eligible to participate. Sponsor reserves the right to reject and/or remove, at any time (either before or during the voting period), any text, picture or logo within an entry, or an entry in its entirety, which the Sponsor in its sole discretion considers to be false, misleading or deceptive, or in violation of existing laws (including intellectual property laws), or offensive to the moral standards of the community, or which in any way reflects on the character or integrity of any individual, group or organization. Notwithstanding the foregoing, each entrant agrees to defend, indemnify and hold Sponsor harmless from any and all claims, loss, liability, judgments, costs and reasonable attorney fees incurred by the Sponsor arising out of, or related to, the contents or subject matter of any entry submitted.
Additionally, Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify persons or organizations found tampering with or otherwise abusing any aspect of this Event as solely determined by the Sponsor. Should the Event be compromised by tampering or other causes beyond the reasonable control of the Sponsor which corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness or proper operation of the Event, Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to suspend, modify, or terminate the Event. Should the Event be terminated prior to the stated expiration date, Sponsor reserves the right to grant Awards based upon the entries received before the termination date.
Sponsor will not be responsible for incomplete, lost, late, misdirected or illegible entries, poor quality photos, or for failure to receive electronic communications due to transmission failures or technical failures of any kind, including, without limitation, malfunctioning of any network, hardware or software, whether originating with sender or Sponsor. The authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry will be considered the entrant. An “authorized account holder” shall mean the natural person assigned to such an e-mail account by the Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with such e-mail account. A potential Awardee may be requested to provide proof that s/he is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with a winning entry. In the event of a dispute, all online entries will be deemed submitted by the owner of the ISP account from which they were sent. For these purposes, an ISP account holder shall mean the natural person assigned to such ISP account by the Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning ISP addresses for the domain associated with such ISP account. Any questions regarding the number of entries submitted by the owner of an ISP account shall be determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion.
The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any such provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable, these rules shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or unenforceable provision was not contained therein.
Sponsor will not be responsible for typographical, printing or other inadvertent errors in the Official Rules or in other materials relating to the Awards.
